BIO-BRITE JET LAG TRIP GUIDE

The Bio-Brite Jet Lag Calculator can produce a free Jet Lag Trip Guide to tell you how to reset your body clock to a new time zone quickly so you can minimize jet lag for any specific trip. If you follow the Trip Guide carefully, you will be able to adjust to the new time zone in a matter of hours instead of days or weeks.
You only need two pieces of information in order to operate the Jet Lag Calculator -- the number of time zones you will be crossing and your regular wake-up time. Just enter that information below and the Jet Lag Calculator will automatically produce a Trip Guide for your next trip.

Step 1: How many time zones are you crossing on this trip?
A successful time zone shift depends on knowing the exact times to seek and avoid bright light. Exposure to light at the wrong time can actually make Jet Lag worse. The proper schedule for light exposure depends a great deal on specific travel plans. Taking a night flight to Tokyo for instance creates very different demands than a day flight to Los Angeles.

Helpful Hints:
If you are not sure how many time zones you are covering, here are some suggestions as to how to find this out:
1. Your computer might have a utility that shows time zones world wide, for instance double click on Windows 95/98 clock.
2. Contact your travel agent or airline reservations agent. They usually can help you determine how many time zones you will be crossing.
3. Phone a friend at the place you are traveling to, and check the difference between the times at their location and yours.
Please note that if your journey covers 2 or fewer time zones then lights are not necessary. Sometimes even quite long journeys will not cover many time zones for instance South America to/from USA, Southern Africa to/from Europe. If you are traveling over 12 time zones (in other words you are going the long way round), then subtract the number from 24, for example 14 time zones is equivalent to 10.
